Illuminate Your Home with Wall Lights

One of the things you must consider when decorating your home is how you can create a relaxing mood and endearing atmosphere in your rooms through proper lighting. Although you might immediately think of typical Swarovski chandeliers as a surefire way to elegantly light up your home, there are still other possible types of lighting fixtures that you can make use of. For instance, wall lights placed along hallways and entryways provide good illumination sans the unsightly electric chords.

Aside from specially designed Swarovski chandeliers that can also be placed on walls, the most popular types of wall fixtures include wall scones and wall lamps. All of these have different styles and features which contribute to the versatility of wall lights.

Wall scones come in a variety of designs. Some have lampshades fixed in one position for spot lighting, while others are void of shades for the purpose of casting light up, down, or in all directions. Ideally, scones come in pairs, and flank windows, doors, and hallways.

Wall lamps are also called 'swivel arms' or task lamps. These have extended arms that you can adjust in any direction, providing adequate light for reading or doing paperwork on desks, etc. The idea behind wall lamps is to provide more tabletop space for other items such as photo frames, telephones, clocks, etc. GP

Using Luminaires and Lustres

With the rising trend of energy efficiency and the desire to make cost-effective decisions, companies are finding ways to save. One of these means include using fluorescent lights instead of incandescent bulbs which have for years been used as the main lighting equipment. Luminaires have been used mostly for commercial as well as industrial establishments. They are lighting fixtures designed specifically for holding fluorescent lamps (and even incandescent bulbs). Fluorescent light can last years if used efficiently and uses less energy compared to incandescent light bulbs.

Luminaires are also valued for their designs. They can create a charming effect when used in the porches outside the home. Usually made of iron metal and polished glass, it can give an ornamental effect as well as the practical aspect of lighting the home. Although some people would prefer the yellow glow from incandescent bulbs, fluorescent light can produce the same romantic effect at a more const-effective price. Related to this are lustres which have more or less the same effect as luminaires. Lustres on the other hand focus more on the polished sheen of the material used to give it a certain "luster". Wall lamps and table lamps are perfect ways to use lusters. You have the option to use fluorescent lighting on your luster fixture but incandescent bulbs are also used. With these two types of fixtures, economy and beauty merges quite naturally.

Make friends online!

Is international friendship possible? Yes it is! Even if you have never met your pen pal before, it is possible that you build a deep, long-term friendship with your penpal; perhaps the same as or even closer friendship than the friends you actually meet and hang around with. Some pen-pallers have actually met their pen pals, and others have been corresponding with their penpals for tens of years. You don't have to always talk about your countries, cultures, just because it is overseas correspondence. You can write to your overseas pen pals like you chat with your friends in your town. You can talk about your hobbies, your work, what happened on the day, and so on. You can seek your pen pal for advice about your life if you think you can rely on him/her. "I have a friend overseas". Does this statement make you feel excited? If so, overseas correspondence is the thing for you!

Improve your language skills or learn new languages. Many people, especially ESL people, start overseas correspondence in order to improve their English or any other foreign languages. Like others, I first started overseas correspondence because of this. Unlike paper tests, you can communicate with real foreign people with the language skills that you learned. There's no markers, and there's no given subjects - you can write whatever you want to let your pen pal know about. Through pen-palling, you will get to enjoy writing in foreign languages (at least much more than paper exams!), therefore your language skills will improve. Even if you correspond with your pen pal in your first language, you will get to know how to organize your thoughts to clearly communicate your ideas to your pen pals on paper so you will be able to increase your written communication skills.

So, if you want to learn for example russian, find a russian girl willing to be your penpal. Learn about foreign countries and cultures. Your overseas pen pals are real people who live in a different country, and they are living everyday life in that country just like you do in yours. That is, they are not the same as the media; the perspective of your pen pal's country from his or her point of view is more of a "first-person" view than of the media. That is, you will get to know about overseas country more directly though your pen pal, and your pen pal can learn from you in the same way. Also, you'll be able to feel closer to the country your pen pal is in than before because you have someone that you "know", even if you have never met her/him. For example, you'll get to watch the news about your pen pal with more interest than before you've started overseas correspondence. If you wondering where to find free penpals visit PenpalsJPG.com
